For years now bands have been using blogs and My Space for shameless self promotion and even to be found by the major record labels (Arctic Monkeys, Lily Allen).

Now, SonyBMG UK have officially said they no longer want to receive demo tapes (or CD’s perhaps) from brands but have given them blogging access with ability to upload their music.

The digitalisation of the music industry is coming slowly but surely with the justified fear of CD sales dropping to now embracing the new era.
